Second Sunday of Every Month - Coolangatta Arts and Crafts Market

Shopping for gifts, souvenirs, art, craft, the ingenious, the weird and the wonderful, has never been easier. Just come along to the Gold Coast's famous art and craft markets. Held on the beachfront, opposite the Showcase Shopping Centre.

February 11-26, 2012 - Bleach* Surfing the Fringe Festival

The Gold Coast's premiere and inaugural Surf Culture Festival will celebrate artistic expression and creativity inspired by surf and beach culture via an eclectic mix of pop-up art installations, photography exhibitions, film screenings, music, food, theatre and fashion events.  Event Website

February 18-19, 2012 -  Kingscliff Triathlon

Save the day, the Kingscliff Triathlon is back better, faster & stronger! The Kingscliff Triathlon is situated on one of the most stunning coastlines in Australia. Swim in open water or creek, cycle a fast circuit out to Chinderah and run between the beach and mansions of Salt. Bring the family and friends and enjoy the excitement! Event Website 

February 25th - 7th March, 2012 - Quicksilver and Roxy Pro 10th Anniversary 

The Quicksilver Pro and Roxy Pro is a mobile surfing event held at Snapper Rocks, but with the option on moving to nearby beaches Duranbah, Greenmount, Kirra or Burliegh Heads should the conditions call for it. It is the first event in the series and will see many big name surfers in the humble town of Coolangatta throughout its duration. Event Website.

March 21-25, 2012 - Australian Longboard Surfing Open

This year’s championship is held at Kingscliff, home to several world champion surfers including multiple Women's Champion Stephanie Gilmore, Shane Bevan and Kevin Barr. The Australian Longboard Surfing Open is set to take Australian Longboard Surfing to a new level of fun and entertainment with 6 star ASP LQS Men's & Women's divisions, a noserider event, SUP Surfing & Racing and amateur surfing divisions. On the land there will be a music festival, lifestyle market stalls, art, cooking demonstrations, vehicle display and movies. Event Website

May 4-7, 2012 - VELO Battle on the Border

The VELO Battle on the Border is one of Australia's biggest cycling festivals and Queensland biggest competitive Tour. Since 2009 pedal power has taken over the majestic Tweed Coast for 4 days of cycling action. 

June 1-11, 2012 - Cooly Rocks On

THOUSANDS will converge on Tweed Heads-Coolangatta for the Cooly Rocks On Festival - formerly known as Wintersun. A celebtration of rock 'n' roll music, all things Elvis, classic cars and great dancing. Event Website
